Sex Work/Sex Trafficking (Ep. 7)
Some of the very best convos happen with civilians. He asked about the power dynamics in sex work, we discussed what consensuality can really mean under capitalism, and much more.

The Sacred Whore (Ep. 39)
I guess Alex liked me, because I got invited back!
The Sacred Whore was a hot topic back when I was a baby heaux (think 90’s women’s studies), but not something folks talk about so much any more. Alex and I have quite a bit of fun taking apart what that term might possibly have meant in the past, and what it might mean for the future.

Lola Davina (Ep. 17)
Some of the best discussions occur when you’re talking with folks outside your immediate circle. Gio’s podcast focuses primarily on (civilian) kink, but he asked great questions about professional domination and what it takes to do sex work.

Thriving in Sex Work (Ep. 30)

Dyann of The Body House Podcast and I meet up a second time to discuss Thriving in Sex Work. Dyann always has something fascinating to say about client dynamics-- together we explore ways clients are socialized to act out, and strategies as sex workers to make them better human beings.

Thriving in Sex Work with Lola Davina (Ep. 177)
The brilliant, ballsy, beautiful Dawn Serra of Sex Gets Real and I have a wide-ranging, fascinating conversation about the emotional labor that goes into sex work. How can you thrive as a sex worker, navigating the fact that you have no real safety while also performing erotic fantasies and sex at the same time? How can you care for yourself as clients bring in their pain, shame, and fear and expect you to heal them? We talk about the unrealistic expectations clients often come in with, being financially responsible, setting boundaries and trusting your gut, creating rituals to celebrate small and big wins, and a whole lot more.
Quoting Dawn: It's fascinating and practical. It's one of my favorite chats, and I think you'll hear why.

Thriving In Sex Work, Feminism & Sex Work, Shame & Emotional Labor
(Ep. 30 of Live A Conscious Life Podcast, formerly Real Feminist Stories)
I’ve been lucky to many several high-level conversations while being interviewed— certainly Cameron Aiken’s questions must rank as some of the most compelling. A splendid critic of gender and work norms, we had one of my fav discussions ever. We talk about how sex work and feminism intersect, and examine why society puts meaning onto sex, along with the shame that it places on sex workers. We talk about how emotional labor is central to sex work, and how sex workers can manage their emotions.

I had a wonderful time talking for a full hour with sex-positive teachers Angelique and John Luna. We discussed intimacy, spirituality, the future of sex work, and, of course, my upcoming book, Thriving in Sex Work. They were bubbly and gracious hosts, and made me feel like a real rockstar-- check us out!

Turning Pro (Ep. 17)
I had no idea when I was asked to tell my story of my first time as a call girl at Dixie De La Tour's smashing Bawdy Storytelling evening that I'd end up on iTunes! But I'm part of Episode #17, Turning Pro.
I didn't fall down, I didn't barf, and the audience really seemed to enjoy it, so I’m gonna call that a win.
